CHILDREN FROM QATAR WINS AT 14TH TOYOTA DREAM CAR ART CONTEST IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND CENTRAL ASIA DIVISION

 

Children from Qatar won prizes in all the 3 categories at the 14th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest in the Middle East and Central Asia Divisional contest organized by Toyota Motor Corporation.

 

The winners of the contest were announced at the virtual award ceremony held recently which was attended by officials from Toyota Motor Corporation led by Mr. Akitoshi Takemura, Division General Manager, winning children, their parents as well as representatives from Toyota Dealers across the Middle East and Central Asia Division.      Mr.  Akitoshi Takemura congratulated all the winners wishing them good luck.

 

Mstr. Sohan Sandeep from MES Indian School won the prize in the category 1 (below 7 years) for his dream car “TOYOTA H3” (Heal, Hope Happy). Sohan wishes his dream car heals the wounded people in war areas. His Dream car is a hope for elderly people and abandoned children. It provides food, medicines, toys and books. The vehicle runs on recycled fuel from paper, plastic and glass wastes.  After receiving the award Master Sohan said “I am happy and excited to receive this prestigious award for my Dream Car. I love colours and I enjoyed drawing my dream car”.

 

Mstr. Nemsith Nimpura from Shantinikentan Indian School won the prize in category 2 (08 – 11 years) for his dream car “History Finder Car”. Nemsith believes his dream car will help to find our monuments that are submerged in the sea beds that are yet to be discovered. Mstr. Nemsith said “I am really happy to be a winner in the Middle East & Central Asia Division of Toyota Dream Car Art Contest and thank my parents and teachers for their inspiration and support. I also thank Toyota Japan and Toyota Qatar for organizing this event”.

 

Ms. Nandana Bijukumar winner in the 3rd category (12 – 15 years) said “I am really happy and honoured to receive this award from Toyota Motor Corporation. I appreciate Toyota’s initiative to encourage young artists around the world”. Ms. Nandana, student of Birla Public School won the prize for her dream car “Disaster Managing Car”. She believes her dream car can manage resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies in order to lessen the impact of disasters.

 

Toyota Dream Car Art contest invites children from all corners of the globe to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars. Every great idea was born in the glimmer of a dream, and we at Toyota hope that this activity will help nurture the creativity of the next generation of great inventors, thinkers and dreamers. Qatar contest was held from 20th Nov – 15th Dec 2020.

 

Mr. R. K. Murugan, Acting Chief Executive officer, said that “as one of AAB’s community -oriented initiatives, the ‘Toyota Dream Car Contest’ held a special place in their hearts as it involved children, the future ‘guardians of the world’. He also showed the Company’s happiness in seeing the increasing number of kids and schools taking part in such a contest.
