AAB is ISO 27001 Information Security Accredited

Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. W.L.L. (AAB), the distributor of Toyota and Lexus in Qatar, obtains ISO 27001:2013 Certification- a world-recognized and international best practice standard for Information Security. The ISO certification is a manifestation of the company’s good governance, risk management, and compliance to global standards.  The certification affirms AAB’s commitment to its valued customers in terms of securing information assets, which provides them with the next level of confidence and comfort when making online and offline transactions.

 

AAB, in coordination with ATOS, an Information Security Consultant proceeded to a comprehensive assessment of current state and potential risk within IT and support functions. Following this analysis, ATOS has designed and implemented a specific system to comply with the ISO 27001 standard requirements. At the end of the process, AAB has been audited by an external certifying authority and has received the prestigious accreditation.

 

Mr. R.K. Murugan, AAB’s CEO received the ISO 27001 Accreditation certificate from   Mr. Guillaume Lafage, ATOS General Manager.  In attendance to witness the occasion were Mr. Samer Jalal, AAB HR & Admin Director; Mr. Amir Mahmood, IT Senior Manager along with the AAB IT Team.

 

The certificate reflects AAB’s commitment to Customer Delight on securing information assets.  With a Customer Centric philosophy, AAB considers establishing security standards in Information System governance as essential. This is based on the corporate values that help AAB build customer trust and loyalty, as well as maintain its position as the company of choice in Qatar’s automotive industry.
