Airbags: To help reduce the impact to occupant in collision, the Avalon is equipped with SRS driver airbag, SRS front passenger airbag, SRS knee airbag (Front seats), SRS side airbags (Front and rear seats) and SRS curtain shield airbags (Front and rear seats). ABS with EBD/Brake Assist system: ABS helps to prevent the wheels from locking up when braking on slippery roads, or during sudden braking. The EBD control utilizes the ABS system to optimize the distribution of braking force in various driving conditions. The Assist system detects the driver’s intention of emergency braking from the operating speed and force of the brake pedal, and produces strong braking force accordingly.
